Description
This photograph is a close up of a Tibetan Prayer Wheel found at Bodhnath Stupa (Kathmandu, Nepal).
Prayer wheels line the walls of the stupa and when circling the stupa devotees will spin the prayer wheels releasing good merit. The letters spell out "Om Mani Padme Om" in Tibetan - meaning the Jewel in the Lotus which can be translated as the pure essence of all things.
